This is the entry for the Ten in Ten (TiT) Cyclopark Summer Sun race series.
In the summer of 2025 Phoenix Running will be hosting the Cyclopark Summer Sun 10in10 Running Challenge. This will be held in its long established date window from Saturday 16th August 2025 through to August Bank Holiday Monday 25th August 2025. We are looking to continue this fantastic event series very much in the spirit of previous event hosts SVN with the exact same set up.
As the name suggests this is a series of 10 consecutive running events held over 10 consecutive days where you choose - from 5km / 5 miles to 10k, half to marathon to ultra marathon, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like each day. The laps will be based around two main routes from the Cyclopark on undulating tarmac cycle tracks and off-road trails and pathways.
The runs are 7 hour timed events (you must be out on your last lap at 5:59). We welcome absolutely all abilities of runner - complete one lap on any day and you're both a finisher for that day and a winner in our eyes, or keep going and see how far you can go in the full time limit. Then come back and do it all over again and again and again.
The Summer Fun Ten in Ten series will be based from the overflow car park at the Cyclopark. We use two routes from this location and if you run on Saturdays you can even complete the local parkrun as part of our event (it counts as lap 1). Our aid station or 'tuck shop' is famous for all its sweet and savoury goodies and CAKE and it will be out in full force in 2025 so you won't go hungry!
What will the medals be for the Summer Fun 10in10?
Well, as we hope you've come to expect from us, we're going to be doing something rather special and unique to us on the 'bling' front. Yet again we've gone all out on the bling and in the summer of 2025 we'll have a set of cocktail glass medals with a different colour translucent 'glass effect cocktail' for each of the 10 days of summer. These are big medals and they really are beautiful.
What do the Sumer Sun medals look like?
This is the medal for day one - the Summer Sun 'blue' cocktail medal
What else do I get?
There will, or course, be an epic finishers t-shirt designed as always for Cyclopark 10in10's by the very talented Claire Foley.
What are the distance options and associated time limits for each?
As part of the sign up process to enter our Summer Ten in Ten you will be asked to from the following four options for your chosen distance;
This is just so we know what distance you are intending to complete so we can look after you accordingly but you can change distances, even on the day, so there's no pressure to complete a distance you don't fancy.
If you are unsure, just 'Timed event (mixed distance)' and feel free to change if you want.
But what if I want to do some days but not all the days?
That is absolutely fine - any day can be entered as a single / separate event and you can do whichever days you want.
Will there be route maps?
Yes, here are our two main route maps.
Lightning Bolt Route : TBC
177 Route : TBC
Places will be strictly limited so don't leave it too late to enter. Minimum distance is 3.28 miles or as far as you can go in 7 hours.
We provide a physical running service and by entering our events you are purchasing an actual run, either by attending our events or by running the event virtually yourself. All participants in our events, both attended and virtual, will receive a free giveaway medal / memento from your run.
